My name is Tamsyn Jordaan, and I’m the Manager at Lady Buxton Educare & Pre-Primary Centre. For me, this isn’t just work—it’s my passion. For over a century, Lady Buxton has been a second home filled with laughter and learning for countless children. From babies as young as six months to six-year-olds ready for “big school,” we’ve been a haven for generations of families.

What began in 1917 as a sanctuary for vulnerable children has since blossomed into a trusted pillar of care and education. We pour our hearts into giving every child the best possible start, offering them love, a safe space, and an education that ignites their potential. It’s our heartbeat, not just a school.

Our Honest Truth

Our beloved building, the heart of this community for decades, is showing its age. While the spirit of Lady Buxton remains vibrant, our physical learning environment is worn and tired. Our kiddie chairs and tables are falling apart, and our cupboards and carpets are well past their prime. The truth is, our classrooms no longer reflect the bright futures we dream of for each child who comes through our doors.
